MTN, this is a scam – Betty Abah

In 24 hours MTN ‬has deducted ₦100 from my account, thanking me profusely for ‘successfully subscribing’ to ‘Football Analysis’ (who told them I STILL care about football?) and ‘Punch News Service’ which I NEVER DID! How many more people have they defrauded likewise? One million subscribers alone would fetch them ₦100 million illegally gotten/extorted from unwilling and already sapped subscribers in one day!
MTN forced Callertunez on me and in spite of attempts to deactivate it, MTN says ‘mbanu’ and goes on to deduct money several times a week on fathom, kangaroo instalmental charges. This may look like tiny amounts but multiply it by the almost 60 million of MTN’s subscriber base in Nigeria (about 50% share of the telecoms market). And this is just ONE out of their SEVERAL FRAUDULENT antics masquerading as various services and projects they use to swindle subscribers, viewers etc. It is what it is: A SCAM.
Of the 22 countries in which MTN operates worldwide, Nigeria has the highest number of subscribers and fetches it the heftiest profit, yet they must add the ‘jara’ to top, why?
And, even with the recent historic fine slammed by the FG on MTN Nigeria for business breaches, how come it still refuses to repent? As my Idoma people would say, ‘even if the madness is cured, the scowl doesn’t go away’. Ehn?
